MCET was established in the year 1998 by Sri.M.Manickam with a view to commemorate the 75th birth year of his beloved fatherArutchelvar Dr.N.Mahalingam with a mission to impart high quality competency based education in Engineering & Technology to the younger generation with the required skills and abilities to face thechallenging needs of the industry around the globe. MCET is a selffinancing, co-educational Engineering College and it is approved byAll India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & affiliatedto Anna University, Coimbatore. Six Programmes have beenaccredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhiand ISO 9001:2000 certified by TUV. The MCET currently offers 11UG and 5 PG programmes and doctoral programme in Engineering, Technology and Science.
The department of IT was established in 1999, offers B.Tech. (IT) programme; the department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE. During the last five years, the department has conducted handful of National conferences and seminars sponsored by AICTE, Infosys, TNSCST and International conference sponsored by Apple University
The department of ECE was established in the year 1998. It is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE. At present the department offers four years Bachelor of Engineering with annual intake of 120 students. It offers an outstanding opportunity for budding professional to polish their skills and outperform their competitors.
